Periodic Donation
A periodic donation is very tax-advantageous. If you donate a fixed amount annually for at least five years, your gift is fully deductible from income tax, without threshold or maximum.
Tax Benefits
For a regular gift, there is a threshold of 1% (minimum €60) and a maximum of 10% of your aggregate income. These limitations do not apply to periodic donations.
Calculation Example:
If you are in the 37.35% tax bracket and donate €100 per year, you receive €37.35 back from the tax authorities. Your donation effectively costs you only €62.65.
In the highest tax bracket (49.5%), a donation of €100 effectively costs you only €50.50.
