Celebrate with us on December 10 – International Human Rights Day

A Day of Hope and Struggle in The Hague

Join the Commemoration of the Tibetan National Uprising!

On Monday, 10 March 2025, hundreds of Tibetans and supporters from across Europe will come together in The Hague to mark the 66th commemoration of the Tibetan National Uprising of 1959. This day symbolizes the courageous resistance of the Tibetan people against the Chinese occupation and oppression since 1950. With this commemoration, we draw attention to the ongoing human rights violations in Tibet and call for international solidarity for the freedom and cultural survival of Tibet. Under the motto “Europe, Stand With Tibet!” we raise our voices against the systematic oppression by the Chinese authorities and emphasize the urgent need for international support. On Laan van Reagan en Gorbatsjov, near Central Station in The Hague, thousands of Tibetans and supporters will gather to send a powerful signal. As a special guest, world-renowned actor and chairman of the International Campaign for Tibet, Richard Gere, will speak.
