Global Solidarity Rally against CCP Tyranny

Yesterday, Sunday September 28, Tibet Support Group Netherlands (TSG-NL) stood at Dam Square in Amsterdam side by side with our Chinese brothers and sisters in their fight for justice and freedom in their homeland.
As part of the Global Solidarity Rally against CCP Tyranny, more than 150 Tibetans, Uyghurs, Chinese dissidents, and supporters came together to mark the 76th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party with one voice: united against the tyranny of the CCP.
In two days, on October 1, 2025, the Chinese government celebrates the founding of the People’s Republic of China, 76 years ago. But since this seizure of power, the Communist Party has brought unimaginable suffering to its own people and to the inhabitants of surrounding countries, such as Tibet.

In her speech, Tsering Jampa, chairperson of TSG-NL, reminded the world that October 1 is not a day of celebration for Tibetans, but a day of resistance and unbroken courage — a reminder of seventy-five years of occupation, oppression, and cultural genocide.
Ruthless repression instead of “peaceful liberation”
Tsering unmasked Beijing’s false narrative of a “peaceful liberation” and outlined the reality of destroyed monasteries, forced assimilation, colonial boarding schools, and the silencing of Tibetan culture and religion. Yet Tibetans continue to resist with extraordinary courage, proving that truth and nonviolence are stronger than fear and dictatorship.

Her core message was clear: The CCP’s ruthless propaganda wants the world to forget Tibet, but as long as we live, we will ensure that this never happens — our nation and culture will survive.
Solidarity requires action: governments must hold Beijing accountable, institutions must resist Chinese pressure, and citizens everywhere must amplify Tibetan voices. Standing up for Tibet is not only a fight for Tibetan freedom; it is a defense of universal human dignity, ecological balance, and the freedoms that protect us all.
Not just Tibet’s problem
Tibet’s tragedy does not stop at its borders. The rivers of the Tibetan plateau supply more than a billion people in Asia with water, but China’s unchecked dam construction and water diversions threaten the ecological balance of an entire continent.
CCP repression far beyond China
Beijing’s repression also reaches far beyond China’s borders. From secret overseas police stations to online intimidation: Tibetan exiles, Uyghur activists, pro-democracy advocates in Hong Kong, and even journalists in free societies are harassed, spied on, and threatened. This is transnational repression — an attempt to turn the world itself into an extension of Chinese censorship.
One of the core missions of Tibet Support Group Netherlands is to seek collaboration with allied organizations to amplify our voice and collectively take a stand against the brutal repression by the Chinese Communist Party.
